I ended up buying the B&M USB Werk, as I knew they designed it to work in parallel with the lights I already had, and it was cheap. It also doesn't do the weird dropping of light output while it charges the cache battery, like it does paired with Adrian's Son Front.
I finished Bryan Chapman with my phone and Garmin at 100%, couldn't be happier with it.
