I'm on a terribly restrictive budget, but it does appear the KX2200 is a more comprehensive kit for the money. It is probably more powerful than I will need for my applications. Thanks. Must also factor in some gloves. I'd prefer the paint blisters, not my skin.

You can find the Black and Decker KX1650 for under £20. The modern version of mine is the KX2200 but that's obviously more than you want to spend, or need.
