hardly a beater though is it.
its a purpose built, expensive, high end bike. -
• #14178
most people i know with V2s got them brand new for less than £400.
-
• #14179
so, a £400 frame and fork set is budget?
just to ease the pitchfork brigade I will cede defeat that it is not a beater
it's an overpriced hhsb with fat tyres which may or may not be ridden offroad on route to purchasing a double soy macchiato, at very low speed, then washed clean by vegans with the tears of virgin organic goats -

At least you admit it

Link to virgin organic goat's tears?

you get a hip flask full when you buy a Mash Work frame
-
• #14185
Hip flask included?

Now you're just being ridiculous. Vegans would never use goat tears, organic or not. Maybe a rice based tear alternative.
-
• #14187
no, genuine organic virgin goat tears, gathered by caring vegans during therapy and healing group sessions.
you'd be surprised how much stigma is carried being associated with pagan rituals, and a burden shared is a burden halved*sniff

so, a £400 frame and fork set is budget?
well, yes when you're saying that a £900 one is?
-
• #14189
I never said it was budget, you sir are mistaken...and they can be found for £200 less than you say
-
• #14190
it's still a thousand pounds worth of bike with no visible wear and a pretty sensible build all around
functional

EDIT: Ignore the chain slack.
Got a new stem/seatpost.....used. Not sure of the Nitto model...paid $10 for it. Just says Nitto and is the same dimensions of a Pearl/25.4 clamp.
I'm pretty much done with this bike concerning changes so I won't keep posting it here.
Most of the time I use regular pedals/straps...but on longer rides I do clipless. -
• #14199
Nice, looking good.
Your chain is always so slack though. Sure there is too tight, but this is the other end of the spectrum.
Do you like using road pedals on a street fixeh?

Thanks
LOL, I just updated the post about the pedals without seeing your comment. Yeah, I mostly run straps/regular pedals but on longer rides (20+ miles), I go clipless.
I forgot to add "ignore the chain slack"...I was in my backyard installing a new a tube and just set the wheel in the ends for the photo.
