17t NJS cogs exist and you can find them if you know where to look. Not cheap though.

I just bought that one :/
Let me know what he says though! I trawled through all his stuff a few weeks ago and only found a really worn and slightly rusty sun tour.

Seriously though: might be because there is not really a use for it? It's not like Keirin racers run those kind of low gears.

Yes, hence the low production numbers, hence the lack of availably and therefore the rarity. But people who what to ride sweet Japanese NJS bikes on the road because they have more money than sense want higher numbers of teeth on their cogs. If they want a truly full NJS build that is.

I thought especially in Keirin the racers run lower ratios than on the olympic tracks. I don't know much abouth Keirin tough

This is what I found so far:
I tweeted to Perkins and asked him about the gear ratios they use in Keirin racing. His reply: "ratio is between 3.85 up to 4.20!

It's funny you keep tabs on people on a fixed gear forum. I have no idea who you are but I'm SO EXCITED to meet your standards of posting.

Chill. You do post a lot of shite though.

were you aligning saddle angle to bar angle?..
-
• #1619
Why do you ask?!
-
• #1620
Because it is quite common, if not expected, to have the top side of the saddle aligned horizontally. In most cases, this is the correct fit. Not saying everyone should run their saddle that way, but I do believe huge amount of cyclists, including vast majority of this forum's members, can't be wrong to such extent...

• #1621
exactly, that's why I was asking in the first place
