If anyone here is still interested in road racing (which seems doubtful considering no one's posted here for eight months) you might like to look at my report of the National Masters Championships:

This is a really well organised event on a great course not all that far from London (it's near Milton Keynes). I don't think any of the fields were up to the maximum (80) so if you're over 30 you could have got a ride.
I believe the event is likely to be held again in the same place and format next year, so think about entering.
