@umop3pisdn, we hired a van with some friends to take our two tandems to the Cotswolds for the weekend. SWB Transit did nicely, unsure if a Berlingo would have the space (unless you removed wheels/folded seats?).

My tandem goes in the L1 van version with the wheels in and no seat folding. Two tandems plus crews obviously needs something bigger.
