  • I'm caning the x-files from the start (now they're showing the whole lot on spike). It's shit and amazing in equal measure.

  • I like the first ones, where they had a different monster of the week.
When it all went alien conspiracy-ish and kept banging on about the smoking man, I thought it got a bit boring.

  • for some reason I thought you were referring to due south, so i googled and found out there was a character called margaret thatcher in it.

then I found the maggie from northern exposure and she's just as bad.

what is up with all the right wing maggies in shows set in the icy tundras of north america and canada?

  • So pumped for the return of Peaky Blinders tomorrow night

  • Broke my heart when Maggie from NE turned out to be a loon. So much teenage seed spilt over that woman...

  • The Americans is definitely one of my faves...although do have a soft spot for contemporary period pieces

  • The Hollow Crown is bloody awesome. No idea why they took the first four episodes down from iplayer but the fifth episode is still up. Well written stuff, this writer (William something) will go far.

  • Amazing, mostly because of Scully....

    • i wanna make you say cheese.gif
  • I never really fancied her when X-files was first on TV.
    I was wrong.

  • I'm watching Everything and Nothing, on iPlayer, which is really great tv, big subjects explained pretty well.
I'm annoyed by the bleepy sound effects and the music though, and I find the long pauses aggravating. You could probably get each episode down from a hour to 45 minutes if you just let him get on with it and didn't keep showing long static shots of nothing in particular.

  • Rewatched series 1 and 2 so far, she hasn't been all that so far. I think she's improved with age.

Well, she's done better than Mulder anyway. He seems to have aged for both of them.

  • i've watched that gif for a full ten minutes now.

  • Have you "said cheese" yet?

  • Marseille any good, anyone?

  • Thought the first episode of the new series was a bit crap.

  • Nah, set it's stall out rather well

Also right now whilst kind of predictable, holy sheeeeeeeeeit

  • In reply to my own question, don't bother with Marseille. It's hammy trash with unbelievable stereotypical characterisation. About 20% of what Borgen is.
Damn you Guardian, I used to believe what you wrote.

  • Season 2 of Gomorrah is good.

  • Ooh, will purchase later...

  • Preacher starts this weekend. I am excite.

  • Sewing Bee.
    Worth the licence fee alone.

Better than the pottery one with the teddy boy who cried over every fucking thing.

  • Six weeks in plaster, I've decided to watch Homicide: Life on the Street right through again, first few episodes this weekend. It's still the best thing ever on TV, just head and shoulders above anything I've seen before or since.

  • Amen to that, brother.
Munch is the coolest character ever, and holds some kind of record for being in the most different TV shows.
If you were murdered though, you'd want Pembleton on the case.
