  • Reminded me of the concrete slabs they use across the Po valley in Italy, as brutal as that.

    Underneath the tarmac, it is concrete slabs, that's why the ruts run across the road at regular intervals. The tarmac sinks into the expansion joints between the slabs.

  • Ah, that explains that. Like in Belgium too. But there it's wide and you wheels can get stuck in the cracks if your not careful. Horrible stuff.
