I'm planning on updating my Dolan tarck (probably just paint) but I'm wondering how possible it is to tidy up the welds.

By buying a new frame.

Super rad. Tilt your bars up though. Oh... D:

The last few days were pretty rainy in Paris so I took the time to re-build my cyclocross as a commuter. I still need to get some vittoria randonneur and a wider bar.
The GTB is also pretty much finished. I would like a pink chris king headset but it will wait. -

Love that fork so much

You can use automotive filler to smooth over the welds but it kinda depends how fat they are.

Ergon grips forevermore. I wouldn't be concerned they're a bit ugly. Comfort rules.

Nice! Planning on glittering up the text on this frame I've Spray.bike painted. Are you gonna clear coat it?

Took the Vagabond out on it's first proper ride this weekend. Cheap parts bin build but I think it turned out quite alright. It's not the prettiest bike I own but its alot of fun. Cant wait to load it up and go offroad touring.

Yes fam. I luv it
A stem more like this and clip less pedals would be my recommendation.
@scottparsley also very nice Genesis you got there..
-
• #108318
Looks great, would flip stem and lose spacers tho.
-
• #108319
Yeah, the next step is a clear coat when the wind and rain subside.
Excuse the shitty mobile pic.

• #108320
Thanks guys. Spacers will probably go in the future but I'm still deciding on fit. I'll prob also need to change the chainset, gearing was ok (39 and 11-36) without bagage but will be a bit too much with. Thinking Sram GX...

Or get a Shimano 11-40 cassette?
If it's 10 speed. Aftermarket 11-40 will do
-
• #108322
Yeah I was thinking about that. But it's 10 speed so AM if so. Also, rear der only goes to 36t (guessing it should work anyway). The cassettes I've seen have been quite expensive though. Also, changing the chainset would mean I could ditch my getto chain keeper...

Is this repairable? Would like to try and keep the saddle, it's a fizik kurve.

looks fucked - is it still under warranty?
-
• #108325
Nope. Brought it from a guy on here knowing it was cracked but not to this extent. Though I have used it for 2 months so that may have added some wear.
Wanna try and repair before I chuck it
ergo grips are truth.
lovce this bike.
