Why so far forward?

Moved forward to try and open the hip angle a bit. Otherwise feels like I'm folded up like a croissant.

44.30 for Dowsett this morning.

Didn't expect that: it was rather cool this AM, but my rider was off over an hour ahead of him.

Yep, 44.29 according to the official times. My time this morning was very nearly a minute slower than my course and distance PB from last year, so it wasn't a fast day when I set off. Mind you, that was over an hour and a half before Dowsett's start time, and looking at club mates' times it does look like it got faster later on in the morning, as you'd expect. Still, definitely not a float day and a bloody impressive time on any level.

Excellent ride by Skinny, just one minute off the old course record. Which was broken by both Dewey and Kieron (and technically Pete Harrison?).

Suppose I should be happy with my ride - beat 4hrs which was the target. Certainly very different conditions to last year, got faster as the day went on. Overall a faster day I think.

Good to catch up with @clubman again.

Ah cool - got 5 on the way from other sources so should be ok for the time being. Kinda resent giving money to PX.

If I'm reading that right, you were gaining on your old self uphill but losing downhill. Lost weight but not enough to make up for the extra drag of the T3 compared with the PX? :-)
