Dunwich Dynamo '15 Plans

Crikey, that time of year again. Having spent a week riding in Yorkshire I'm not sure if I'll get a pass for this one. Depends on the date it falls on this year. I'll enquire :-)

I did think that after I posted... :) Date is July 16/17th.

At the moment fitness levels suggest there isn't a hope in hell I'll be able to do 120 miles but I thought that last year and did it anyway.

Is it going to be faff to get bikes on trains? I hear they're imposing restrictions again.

They am. Need to book a special ticket for Sunday, and ride back to Ipswich. But they're putting 50 bikes per train at Ips.

Not checked for Norwich yet. Will have a look and see.

Yes. Similar to last year for getting home . That screws up my Lowestoft train home idea again.

I did have a look the other day and got that sinking feeling.
Looks like I'll have to find an alternative to our original plan if not, we won't be doing it. :/

Well I'm going to see if I can wrangle a lift back. If not, I might consider cutting out London and riding down to Sudbury (or somewhere close), picking up the route and then riding back from Dunwich to Norwich at the end. Kind of kills the 'relaxing on the beach' bit but could then be made to be the same distance as the Dynamo so I'm not doing an extra 30/40 miles to get home.

I think I am still doing the route above. Leaving about 1am.
Weather looks good, 18 deg and a light tailwind.

This year was the best it has been for ages.

Also did the full ride, 90% of it solo!

^ I was the same. Could have done with someone to chat with towards the end!

I took a power bank to keep my phone charged so I could have some music on (quietly!) to keep me going.
A bit of company would've been welcome though!

I chickened out. It was wet and dark/cloudy in Norwich. I wish I'd done it now.
