sorry for the late reply, I don't get notifications for replies on this board.
I haven't done a belt drive, because I like pretty high gearing, even on my lazy bikes. and the belt line on a 55x20ish Gates Alfine set up doesn't seem like it would work.
I've considered doing a singlespeed belt drive with the black frame... but... meh.

Amazing! After trawling google your build was the closest I could find to my intentions. Definitely understand the lego comment, the bike definitely feels like it'll be a bit of a chameleon during its lifetime.
Have you ever put a belt drive on it?
