Apt-X seems to be the way most are going (unless you have an iphone) and now it's owned by Qualcomm I can see it being even more prevalent.
You can tell the difference between that and standard BT. I guess needing more than Apt-X would be the real audiophile end at which point they're using their own DAC, etc anyway.
