Bit late to the party but my friend lives nearby and rates http://luigiitalianrestaurant.co.uk/
Went for his bday once and it was decent and not expensive.

Really late to this and im not sure about veggie options never having cause to consider them but Spicy Basil is cheap and ace, also Ariana II is a brilliant Afghan place.
