Hi, I've noticed some very nice stuff in here, and would just like to ask some initial questions as I may have a project...
- What would be the ballpark figure to strip and re-spray a medium sized aluminium Rose and carbon forks in a matte black finish?
- Would you be able to source decals?
- What would be an approximate lead time?
Thanks

Hi,
thanks for the kind words!
Is there any chance you could PM me a picture of the current condition of your frame-set?
Yes we can source decals or make our own.
Turnaround time is roughly 5 weeks.
Price would depend on frame condition and the exact decals/stencils you're after, feel free to PM me.

Here's something we're half way through...
There has been no stencil work done to the bird, it was freehand with a brush.
Chequered flag also airbrushed by hand. Just the basic outline, still requires flatting and lacquering where it will really 'pop'.

Who's design?
Customer's or in-house?

Customer chose! :)

Forks look very much like the pittsburg steelers logo. Can't place the bird though
Is your client a septic?

Another frame through!
We media blasted the frame, forks are going to be stripped later today.
This is going No Quarter Purple with some unique 'by hand' detail

Colour above will be going on a silver base, beautiful candy!
Coincidently this Flying Gate is also going a candy red, just a lighter shade. It's in for stripping, decontamination and re-chrome before paint.
Stunning frame, no.3 of 10. Cannot wait for this frame to be finished, it's also going in for pin-striping.

Why would you repaint that
-

^ This. I'd refuse to paint that.

That steel frame with carbon forks is now No Quarter Purple!
It's been flatted back and will be going in for sign-writing next week.

But what is it?!

@spotter it's just a little something we mixed. Old school candy paint is always on a silver base. We also added some flake to the red so once painted it'll be a very deep colour.
@hoops you're actually correct! The colour spectrum is infinite. Add a single drop of another colour and it's no longer that colour code.
Also received this today, looking forward to decontamination and stripping :)

OH MY GOD HE MEANS THE FRAME. WHAT IS THE FRAME? Not the paint.

I see! I'm not 100% sure of the builder, I know that it's something Italian.

The make of the frame really doesnt matter.
Please tell us more about your custom mixed purple paint. It sounds super exclusive. on a scale of 1 to no, is it more or less exclusive than Rapha? More being 1, less being maybe. -

James, when is your next free paint job raffle?

The colour spectrum is infinite.
Whilst this is true in theory, even the best human eye can only distinguish between around 10,000,000 colours, so if you're mixing up more than that you're probably wasting your time.
Ta-daaa..
Frames are made by Coredon. There's a fantastic Flickr page containing the build of these bikes, I'll have a hunt for it!
