I've completed the survey, but I'm not sure how representative I am: like many here, I build my own bikes and have never bought a complete, new bike.

Done. It takes less than 5 minutes but, as above, I'm not sure I'm the demographic you're after.

Done, same as above, I only bought a brand new bike twice in my entire life and I had more than 10 bikes already maybe even more that graced my bottom. I reckon you'll have more luck with forumengers from bikeradar or something, always had a feeling that people there bought their bikes from new all the time.
I chuckled on the the part where it asked how often I purchase a bike. WIth the people here, I'm pretty sure most of us gets a new frame at least once every 3-4 months or something.

That is better constructed than the usual survey presented here.
Not your demographic though.

Convenience, not convinience

Are you concerned there may be a priming effect by offering an Amazon giftcard and then asking questions about Amazon in the survey? Could create a bias, possibly worth reporting in your analysis.
Completed though, good luck :-)

Thanks a lot for the feedback. Participation has been really good and I guess I will close the survey pretty soon. I was able to derive very valuable outcomes for my studie. Thanks for the comments and your participation. I guess I will allocate the rewards soon :)

Participation still possible. I have added on question on e-bikes (very interesting to see how they going evolve, taken into account that 90% of the market is in China!)

Good luck!
Dear Forum Members,
Currently I am working on my master thesis for Marketing and I would like to ask your assistance. My research is investigating key decision making factors of bike users online with the aim to improve online offerings of the major bike retailers. I am now reaching out to the most reputable forums in UK to run a quick survey (10-15 minutes) among the forum members to get the opinions.
I am offering 3 prizes of 100 euro each to the participants that will win a lottery (randomly assigned). I guess it can be a nice opportunity for you to determine how the future of bike retailing will look like, besides they can also win a nice prize :)

Looking forward to you reply. Thanks.
