Really!?! Understand the whole dream team/European cup connection/relationship, but didn't think he'd been seriously considered.
he managed vitesse for a year, Ajax for 4, then year stints at benfica, psv, Valencia, az, 3 years at feyenoord and now at Southampton.
He's been managing much longer than I thought, yeah he's probably ripe for a BIG job. Still think he could do with consolidating at Southampton, improving them, getting in the mix for cup silverware and then make a decision about heading to barca. But that job opening up depends on Luis Enrique fucking up with the football riches at his disposal.. -

PL job is bigger than almost any international job.

When he left Burnley to go to Bolton the reason he gave was that Bolton were ten years ahead of Burnley. I have some fears where we'll be in four years time.
On the other hand, he'll get some goals for your reserve team

Pistanator
Yep, and TBH after his wank season I couldn't give two shits and I think that goes for most EvertoniansHe's like an English Luiz; a defender who can't defend. One of those European type defenders, classy on the ball, elegant, calm, can pass but off the ball his positioning is all over the shop...
Maybe he has hit his ceiling...maybe it's just a temporary one that the hype lavished on him can't sustain?

Prole. in reply to @tommmmmmm

John Stones is 21. twenty fucking one. he has loads of time.

And selling him for £45mil is turning potential into cash. It may be that Everton would be better off investing half that in a solid CB and the other half in a solid DM than having him.

I enjoyed his time with us. We played exciting football and scored plenty of goals.
He struggled when we got to the premier league which won't affect you at all ;)

You always seem to be writing people off, building the up off about 6 months evidence. Feels like you sometimes need to obvious pointing out

Reading a guardian article on klopp being rebuffed by gotze and then setting his sights on mane from Southampton. Said gotze was available for £20m and mane would be considerably more!
I know gotze is out of contract in a year, and he's been injured and isn't currently first choice, but mane worth considerably more?!?
Is there a premier league tax at work here or is two years on your contract enough to make you more expensive than a World Cup winner and a player who when in form is sublime? -

always liked Marina Hyde's work, this one had me laughing out loud, specifically the princess bride reference
