know Barca have gone for previously untrophied managers, who have a solid, long term connection to Barca: Guardiola, Villanova, Enrique, but Messi/Iniesta/Pique aren't getting any younger, so wonder whether Koeman needs to win something before he moves into the reckoning? Or is it enough to be consistent in the Prem League and reinvigorate his teams every season..

Yes, I see your point. I suspect that Barca is two jobs away for him. He hasn't tended to stay at one club for long, so could see him doing one more year at Saints, then a few years a champions league club which has a shot at trophies, then onto Barca. The curveball for him would be the Holland job, which I reckon he would struggle to turn down.
