I've been using my 16t WI freewheel on 1/8 chains for years. I thought it it was generally fine to use 3/32 equipment with 1/8 chains. Maybe not as flush (and may wear the cogs a bit quicker) but ok in principle I thought. Anyway mine's been going for years without any issue. Plus that's the benefit of WI is that you can replace the different parts without buying a whole new freewheel.
