Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Ealing.
Police were called at approximately 10:00hrs on Wednesday, 25 May, to reports of a collision between a cyclist and a flatbed transit van at the junction of Northfield Avenue and Salisbury Road
Officers, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance also attended the scene.
A 76-year-old male cyclist was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The male driver of the van stopped at the scene and is currently helping detectives with their enquiries. He was not arrested but is being interviewed under caution.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision which is believed have occurred at around 09:45hrs.
