The IFS aren't really on either team, they're researchers and analysts. Their work relies on them being independent.

The IFS is a shill masquerading as an independent organisation which has advocated policies such as abolishing inheritance tax, cutting high end tax rates, and reducing corporation tax in favour of increasing VAT.
It is not an impartial body (despite what you might believe from the BBC's reportage) by any stretch of the imagination. It is one of a number of right-wing think tanks which encourages further austerity to protect the interests of free market ideologues.
They can fucking hang with the rest of them.
