The Police say
The 48-year-old lorry driver was arrested on suspicion of causing
death by careless driving and failing to stop at the scene. He has
since been bailed until a date in mid-September pending further
enquiries.
I have not yet seen photos of the lorry but it is described as a big articulated lorry with a trailer. I suspect it wasn't fitted with the type of 'direct vision' cab that would have given the driver a clear view of the road ahead.
