Love the texture/splatter look.
Does it have a physical texture or smooth?
BTW...sorry if this is a repost but I found a great guide on spray painting your bike frame.

I recently emailed spray.bike asking about any chances of a glitter/flake type clear coat coming out (like the black NJS frames with rainbow flake).
Response:
"That's exactly what our next 6 can range is going to be. Keirin flakes. 6 colors of metallic flake suspended in a hi gloss lacquer. Hang on till August, I think we will have it ready by then!"So many ideas. Would love to do a rainbow flake on my black HED disc.

I'm thinking of doing this effect using Spray.Bike black and Montana marble effect rattle cans. Hopefully a bit better / thicker veins of white tho.
Would do it on a Cinelli Parallax, with (if possible) silver decals. Can only find this guy selling decals, but presumably the vector would exist somewhere? Worst comes to worst, black wouldn't look too bad...
Good idea / bad idea?

I mean, obviously, I would get a neon flip done like Dammit but I've not had a job in a year now so could not afford it :(

That De Salvo is nice (bit "young" for me though).
Have you got something to practice on before spraying for real? I imagine that's more tricky than it looks.
Perhaps @mariofuckinghantous (I think) could help with the decals?

I thought Roboto was the resident decal guy

Yes, him too.
But Mario (I think) did some LFGSS vinyl cuts recently and mentioned he could do other stuff and in (amongst others) metallic vinyl.

The montana marble spray looks pretty easy to use, although the examples in this video
are a bit shite.Jah, I've got a load of plastic piping to practise on until I can get it looking decent. Requires me acquiring the frame first, which is a little while off anyway.

Oh, sorry I didn't realise it came out of the can like that.
Do they do tartan?

arf arf arf.
They also do glitter and crackle effect.
tbh, I'm well down the rabbit hole of custom paint youtube. Watching people DIY hydrodip their AR15 stocks with a couple spray paints, a catering tub full of water and a screwdriver...

Ah, I am currently just beyond the custom paint Youtube phase and discovering that DIY paint can have a steep learning curve. You'll learn a lot through mistakes. I've done some testers with Montana Gold gold chrome, and you'll need to flat (sand) the frame back if it has clear coat/vinyl underneath or the surface will have nothing to adhere to and just slide right off, not to mention have a noticeable line where you've masked it with vinyl/tape since you [I] tried to fix it with more coats.
Here's some carbon forks for my Heavy Methil spray.bike project that's ongoing. Forks were flatted to begin with then given one coat Gray's Inn with Battersea misted over the top, then lacquered for protecting the F&F in transit. All good so far, but the next stage was where I went wrong, by attempting to mask the fork and spray Montana over the top. The first misting coat just slid right off, then any further coats - due to the amount of paint needed - pooled at the edges according to the laws of gravity. It's not totally unrecoverable; I'm going to sand back first the awful gold attempt, then sand back the lacquer. Next stage is decals which I'm having cut, masked and weeded. The aim is to paint through so that F&F are paint only, no vinyl, thus ensuring no issues with clear coat on top of the vinyl causing it to warp - I've read that some 2k clear coat can make your vinyl go a bit screwy.

Go full on and don't hold back is what I say. Carefully plan out what you want to do in your head and take it step by step. No need to rush it and keep telling your self that the stuff you don't see i.e. prepping & masking is important. As @i_am_lono wrote there is a learning curve and you learn through your mistakes. Make some test runs first. I ruined many many hours of work by spontaneously deciding to throw on a coat of that montana marble spray paint of a frame that already felt finished. You live and you learn. Stay in the rabbit hole, go deeper. If you fuck up you can always start from scratch and do a better job the next time around.

Spot on @MechaMorgan It can be frustrating at times but you'll ultimately come out with something that's a total one-off, warts and all, and not much can top that. +1 for being diligent with masking/covering surfaces you don't want painted too; overspray is an inevitable but controllable factor.

Not a huge fan of the main colour, but like the Frank Lloyd Wright inspired detailing.
