The gods have been toppled in Republic of Ireland for some time as well...as long as self-serving politicians ignore the fact most ppl don't give a hoot about what the church tells them to do/just go for a christening or wedding things won't change.
No belief/atheist is on the up in NI too, from 8% to 16% to last census. It doesn't help a lot of people are culturally christian and then put christian on the form...but they don't really believe.
