Who makes those rims?

The frame is made by Pact Bikes, which is one of Brant Richards' latest ventures. He's selling this frame off cheap because he didn't check the crank clearance, works fine with Middleburn but not with Sram.

The 45NRTH ones probably have a more extensive track record.

Sore subject.
I've spent a small fortune on carbide studs, and many hours screwing them in.
My whole fatbike is a glorious example of the insane cost of being a single year ahead of the mainstream trend.

My snow shoes are a million times better than my surly tyres.
They actually stay on the rim.

Looking for a fun bike for the summer, nothing too fancy. On one have started doing a front sus fat bike, does front sus make sense on a fatty or just complicate an otherwise simple idea?

I reckon it depends on how fast you want to go.

Not very

Wouldn't bother with it then, you seem to prefer riding your local trails without any bouncy forks.

Any one got an image of the Mongoose above showing the disk brake?
Yeah.
That was my thinking. The Schwalbes look like a better tyre. Knards would suit the trails more. But Nates just look aggressive.
Could go the Bud/Lou route. But I'd have to pull my rear wheel back a fair bit.
I reckon 3.8" is a good size for muddy trails anyway. I have studded 4.7" for the snow (lies, I'm only 70% through studding. Its boring). So a little contrast is tyre could be nice.
