• Up for sale is this:

Im not using, Im getting married and I have a new kitchen to pay for, so all in all, something has to give! I bought it from the original owner son earlier this year. He informed me it use to be his fathers track bike, before it languished in the garage for a fair few year. The father decided to have it restored at Argos cycles in Bristol over 20 years ago and used it for a short time to commute in and out of Gloucester. It's been sat in his shed for a long time, around 20 years, as his father past away.

It's beautifully made with Campagnolo track drop outs (Campagnolo stamped on the inside of both rear dropouts), 531 tubing, 27.2 seat posts and beautiful lug work, which I can't seem to identify, so I believe they have been hand cut. It's has a 4 digit frame number on the chain ring side of the bottom of the bottom bracket. It's 110 spacing at the rear and although originally advertised as being a 700c frame set, it came with a 700c in the front with a 700x20c tubular tire and a 27" rear with a 27x1-1/8 tire with about 2mm clearance either side of the tire in the chain stays. It has a curve seat stay bridge which is undrilled and a curved chainstay bridge too. That and a wrap around seat stays. It's got mudguard eyelets and It's running British threads as far as I can tell too.

Although it's stickered up as an Agros, the original owner's son didn't believe it was an Argos, just restored there, and to be honest I think so too, surely it's to old to be an Argos!

It's currently still sporting a 27 rear wheel with 27x1-1/8 rear tyre and a 700c front wheel with 20c tubular tyre.

The bike will come with a brand new Continental tubular front tire, which i'll fit if I have time this week. It does not come with a saddle, you'll have to supply your own. It does come with original vintage Bluemels white mudguards the bike has a Campagnolo Pista cranks and chain ring, the rear wheel is currently fitted, but is flip flop and will take a free wheel. Its got ITM bars and stem too, I think, the fluted posted doesn't come with it, instead its got a modern Cinelli post. Miche pedals and even a vintage rear rack if you want it too.

The frame is not mint, it has 2 small dents in the top tube as well as a number of imperfections. The paint is chips and scratches here and there. Its way to nice to be described as a beater, which is what I bought it for but cant bring myself to use it for that, but by no means is it pristine! I like to think its been used, with a life time of use and looking good for it.

Im not looking to make money on this, but I am looking to recover my costs to cover the original purchase, the petrol to collect it... 225 mile round trip!!! The new front tyre and so is up for sale at:
