Thats not mine, this is mine:
Made with proper tubes and cost a fucking lot less than £1000.
I like the idea of a gangsta but for a beater/offroad bike (which they should only ever be) theyre seriously overpriced for what you actually get -

This is a fair assessment, I owned a V3 and do agree it's a glorified Pompino, but I still like it cause it's a Gangsta.
Doesn't ride like shit tho.

I thinks the seatstays and the front fork (v1) are too stiff for street tyre riding and doesnt fit big enough tyres for winter use.
didnt try it with carbon components as it was my beater/winter bike though
-
• #4084
The V2 fork are another level of stiffness.

Pompino's must ride really great
-
• #4086
A Rychtarski in MAX with Gangsta geo would still be cheaper
Pompino's do ride great!
-
• #4087
pomp with wound up fork is quite nice
-
• #4088
It ride very neutrally, Gangsta ride like an overbuild track bike.
-
• #4089
I'd really like to try mine with risers and brakeless without mudguards, rack etc - think it would be quite fun.
What's the geo difference?

bb rises by 2,5mm from 65 -> 63,5 and the angles 0.25° slacker. Some people argue that 395 a2c "ruins" the geo of pomp but I think thats utter geo ignorance

-
• #4096

-
• #4097

I mailed them a while ago when they had the first batch of v3's in the online shop. Asked them if they could mail to the Netherlands and got a reply after 3 days saying that it was possible of course and got instructions how to order etc.
After some quick math i realized that a v3 frameset would set me back 1600-1700 euro's in total and decided not to order one.Yes we can ship to the Netherlands... shipping will be about $125.
you can Paypal the total to bmw@brooklynmachineworks.com or we can do
a CC payment... our site has a rather tedious system for setting up
shipping that requires each country to be set up individually ... That
said the Netherlands as the worlds capital for bicycle should be set
up soon! Joe Joseph Avedisian Brooklyn Machine Works 324 Stagg
