Does UK have mandatory helmet laws?
I live in Washington State and we don't have state laws but most of the major counties do. I'm in Seattle and it's almost a $100 fine if you're caught without one...and they actually do issue them out.
Most of my "too cool for helmet" friends all have at least one or two tickets....the bike cops are usually the ones that nail them.
Just picked up a Giro Foray to replace me 15 year old Specialized Banshee.
Between the sale price and a coupon code, I only paid $30 and got the color I wanted (solid white).
I'm impressed with what you get for such little money...no mushroom effect/actually low profile on me, Roc Loc 5 tightening system, good airflow, not the lightest (275g-ish) but decent, etc..
Definitely a good bargain/value in the helmet world.
