what would be considered a fair price to ask for a caad 10 frame?
About £300 - £350 if the condition is fair. There aren't many of these for sale at a time, so they hold their value reasonably well, and frame only price for the C12 is somewhat prohibitive if you are building a crit bike. Try advertising on the forums of clubs that run / do lots of crits...
The black disc frameset was massively underpriced - god knows what they picked up the stock for, must have been peanuts.
Also got a brand new set of si cranks with the fsa rings.
For sells? About £200-250 depending on condition. These are useful to both roadies and mtbrs (well, not rings, axle and spider but hey) so ebay might be a fair place to start.

Cheers for the input. Frame is spotless and the cranks have never been fitted. They'd be for sells too.
This is all dependent on finding a frame with a bit more stack and preferably steel. Hopefully a road logic if I can track one down.

In that case, £350 is a fair price, even with the CAAD12, the CAAD10 is well regarded for a reason

I bought the black inc mint CAAD10 frameset for £375 on ebay few weeks ago .. it doesent even seem like it was used .. someone like me I guess.

With the Hollowgram right up against the DS it just clears the front derailler. Does this mean the cranks might actually work? There's about a hundred washers and spacers I still need to fit somewhere...

Oh, the 104mm Hollowgram axle has a lip on one side - is that DS or NDS?

104mm is NDS, there are specific bearing shields that move the entire axle DS-ward, as well as a specific axle that also does this, (both designed for SRM use, both of which I have should you need), the 109mm axle goes the other way.

I guess I'm pretty much done, Got my Thomson elite seatpost, Sisl2 with 53.39 spidering, cut steerer, and acetoned stem. Still looking for more stems to play with, 100mm 10deg stem seems comfortable.
Still cant get the right bar/shifter angle.Maybe some nicer wheels in the future , I'm happy with how it is right now.

With the help of @scherrit's vice we swapped the spider for the P2M this morning. I test fitted the cranks and it looks like the 104mm is doable but it might depend on how close my feet are to the chainstay so it'll need a proper fit and then a ride test to see if it works. If not, the 109mm will go in. So thanks for your tool loan - I'll get it back to you soon

I think there are photos in my old System Six thread of how close you can run the crank arm to the chainstay, can't help with the feet though!

It clears the chainstay easy, the FD is closer. It's my massive feet that are most likely to cause issues.

Decided to try something out while i was messing with tyres...
The rivendell jack brown 33 fits perfectly (with room) on the front
But JUST rubs the rear on the chainstays, i think if i could swap the cassettes and put the archetype (wider rim) it would actually fit in the rear too...

No luck, the rear doesnt work at all. and the front is actually closer than i thought when fully pumped.. it spins but is rizla clearance
the jack brown was also actually worse on the wider rim than on the aksiums as well

Reckon a wider rim will help with the height of the bigger sized tyres?
*Not that knowledgeable with rim width/tyre clearance blah blah
