  • For French press use a ration of 1 litre of water to 75g of coffee (James Hoffman's ratios but tbh I've used a smaller ratio with good results as well.)
    Pour on water and leave overnight or about 12 hours. Then put the plunger in the press but don't push it down. Just leave it at the top and gently pour the coffee through the plunger filter. This will disturb the coffee less and mean that you get a cleaner cup.
