  • god I remember Bradford Stadium fire, from the tellybox.
four minutes; another great blog @General_Lucifer another lump in the throat.

    #notaeuph

  • Yeah, it was such a horror, @almac68 - my wife's brothers were there and the wait to see if they survived was agonising, she said. Sad times.

  • 3pm ish, Far end of Colney Hatch Lane in Muswell Hill.

  • I would go for the courier new alone,
except I live fucking miles away.
    have a great night

  • Car now full. One non-forumenger will be joining us

  • I spent quite a lot of yesterday re-reading stories and laughing myself stupid. I think it helps that I used to work in a semi-similar role in a semi-similar place and although I wasn't there long enough to have the stories I can definitely relate.

  • Bump!
I have 2 places available in the car for Luci's gig on Thursday. Leaving n10 2af at 3pm sharp.
First opportunity to heckle the old rascal in person, who can argue with that?

  • Kinda hoping this won't be read out in Sheffield, could get a bit dusty in the pub.

  • I decided to get straight back on the horse and write a new one.

Cheers to everyone who rocked up at Sheffield yesterday - this one's for you:

    A Roundabout Kind of Way

  • That's a short radio skit waiting to happen.

"Best thing you’ve had all day, dad"

    Said?

  • That'll be one of them poignant ones stuffed with allegory and metaphors. Tricky badgers them. You hang around waiting for a twist or a turn leading to a punchline or a funny observance of life but then you find yourself staring out of the window wistfully, wondering when life changed.

Important question though. Ginnel - hard g or soft g?

  • That was brilliant, really enjoyed it.

typo - "with ten girsl pushing"

  • Hard G i think.

  • ^ yup, used in Manchester. Gitty (jitty) in Derby. Back Passage in Euphston.

  • Well that's the question. It get's pronounced both ways and denotes the difference between right thinking Yorkshireman and blithering poltroon

  • Ah, the trans pennine express. Improving the populations on either side, however you look at it.

  • Hard G over the hills in Lancashire.

  • Will there be eighty year old men shuffling around the streets of Camden wearing garish polo shirts, tight high cut shorts in primary colours and a pair of espadrilles? They are probably already there, sipping coffee and buying vinyl.

    Joe?

  • Amazing GL. Really liked that.

  • Cheers chaps - I'll fix those blunders!

Yeah, hard G. Ginnel, as in git funnel.

    Whatever that is...

  • It usually refers to the doorway to Starbucks.

  • Brilliant, reminded me of our playground or rec as we called it, i was joint best swing jumper in 1986. And rain on hot concreat is one if the best smells.
    Thanks GL

  • I like That Smell as well.

Also, monkey bars needs a capital M.
