My fingers are a bit shit. Cant actually build lego With my kids anymore, now they've moved to the small fiddly Blocks.
Sprint shifters are a fecking godsend in road races. No accidental front shifting. I have my reamost shifter paddles both working the rear mech. Which is real Nice when hunkered on the Hoods. But nothing beats having a totally separate button I can punch With a semi frozen lump of a finger.

I'd definitely recommend the single button TT shifters. I get on well With mine.
You may not TT With neoprene gloves on though.......
