What's that? Whiffs of TR7?
-

It is an 1969 British Leyland/Austin Zanda concept car by Harris Mann who designed the princess, allegro and TR7. So you were right with a wiff of TR7.

Interesting article about the mann...http://www.leylandprincess.co.uk/HarrisMann.htm

My Volvo has been parked for much of the last two months as I've either been abroad or not had any use for it.
The brake discs corroded during this time, quite a lot. I drove to Winchester last weekend, this has cleaned up the discs pretty well but under braking there's a hell of a racket - I presume the pads are covered in rust?
There's also a chime every wheel rotation, which is annoying at low speed (when you can hear it).
Should I just go and find an empty, long straight road and do a few hard stops to burn the pad surface back, or should I do something else in this situation?

You have a low rust spot where the pads sat near the disc. Drive the car for a while with the brakes lightly on to clean the surface of the disc and pad.
If that doesn't work, angle grinder with a wire brush attachment on the disc surface and lightly sand the pads surface. Check the calipers over at the same time.
If that doesn't work on car disc skim

Front passenger window got smashed yesterday afternoon by local scrot. Autoglass via the insurer can't get it fixed before the weekend. It's parked in the street with bags and tape to prevent rain but the alarm is going off fairly constantly. No way to disarm alarm without being unlocked. Suspect with a smashed window it might as well be left unlocked until then?

Can you park it super close to a wall or something so no one can reach in through the broken window? And then dismantle the alarm for the sanity of everyone around
-

No walls around unfortunately. I went down and left it unlocked and am now sitting in bedroom on a rocking chair with a high powered rifle and a hick cousin/wife and a banjo.
(It's actually an IKEA office chair and a book just in case anyone calls the police).

Yeah, advice I had from police was to leave it unlocked with all compartments open and obviously empty.
Mind you that wasn't in London's famous London and the risk of anyone walking past and deciding it looked like a nice bed/toilet was pretty low... -

Just got a ticket for it. We're on council waiting list so have temp day passes. Put one on it yesterday and hadn't yet put today's on it. I ran out when I saw her but she said all I could do was appeal. Fuck cars and fuck high vis wearers.

Ah reminisce one time.
You are bringing my Dalston dayz back to me.
Imagine my joy on forgetting I temporarily stuffed my Golf in a disabled space late one eve.
Only to pass out and find it gone by 7.45.
£260 to the lolercompound.

Not mine.
Mine manages about 200 miles from £40 of fuel.

Pondering a roof tent on our w124. Anyone want to shoot the idea down before I spend all of tonight and tomorrow googling it? Will the original bars take the weight of 2 adults?

Liked those to, never seen one on the road as such just a couple at car shows.
Is this the car you aspire too?
Couldn't get one and settled for the B?
