Does anyone have stock of 32 hole 26" Ryde Trace Enduro/Trace 29s? I'm looking for one for a wheel rebuild.

I have an older Corima four spoke which has suffered hub debonding. COrima have offered to look at it, but I found this on eBay and wondered if I could just swap the hub from the old to the new?
-
• #4755
Nope. That's 0.25mm difference on each spoke.
Some spokes vary by as much a milimetre even when they come from the same box.
Plus they stretch with use so it's actually better the rim is a teenie bit shallower -

I'm seeing the XR31T @ 580 ERD?

Been debating having a crack at building a couple of wheels for myself for some time now, really like the idea of using h-son tb14's purely for aesthetic reasons of the low profile box rim and 23mm is where i think i want to be on tires (def clinchers too), looking for some advice/recomondations inregard to hubs, had a few flip-flops but only ever used the fixed side but think i might go for fixed-fixed as i'm keen to start doing a bit more distance and think i might be better to have the range? Really like the look of high-flanges, so looking for a couple of mid-range (not breaking the bank, somewhere around 150euros for the pair) options....?

Anyone know where to get hold of American Classic 420 Aero 3 rims? Client wants his worn rims replaced but not sure if it's possible to get hold of just the rims. All my searching has resulted in whole wheels.

Ordered a pair of hubs from Mack so looking for a good rim for training and cross, is the R460 a good choice? What else should I be looking at in terms of rims?

Exactly what I have .. great rims

Hello. First build so advice warmly welcomed.
Which hub to get?
Need to swap the rear hub on my Raleigh Record Sprint.
The 5-speed Maillard Helicomatic that it shipped with has died.
Planning to reuse the rim and spokes, because I womble like that.
(is that a bad idea?)Specs:
Black
36-hole
45mm flange diameter
60mm width from flange to flange
120mm OLD(All these measurements are approximate, I don't have a calliper.)
From initial conversations I think that I'm going to need a track hub or an old 5-speed... would be fun to try riding fixed. would be good to get sealed bearing too... but yeah, new to this so advice welcome...
Thank you. B -

Novatec low-flange (a266sbt) track hub comes close enough.

R460s are great, but the Kinlin XR22T is also worth a look. Very similar rim, but 10 grams lighter, and you can get them in offset for the rear wheel.
-
• #4770
Kinlin xr22 - lighter, wider, stiffer and offset.and very round and well finished. Little bit pricier then 460.
-
• #4771
The kinlin is a better rim.
-
• #4772
I know :-)
-
• #4773
are they twice as good? because they're twice as expensive
edit: also does it really make sense to use asymmetrical rims for a fixed/fixed hub
-
• #4774
Dt Swiss 460 is 35 odd
Kinlin xr22 is about 40 oddOcr rim on a symmetrical hub is a no

Have you tried Kinlin tl-23?-> http://www.bikehubstore.com/product-p/tl23.htm
Is it good? I like the look of the rounded shape
Superstar Tactic AM Rim is the same rim -> http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/superstar-tactic-am-rim.htm
Maybe they're ok with hand-built stuff but have you ever tried to true Ksyriums?
