  • Stans.

Never had a problem getting these to seat even with a track pump. If there are any probs, just build up the tape in the middle of the rim a bit so there's less gap when the tyre isn't seated.

*I now own a compressor, and it's fucking awesome. Swap tyres about all the time, cos it's so easy now.

  • Cheers, went with the Conti Revosealant in the end. Will see how that goes.

  • My 29er. Racing week on Sunday, first xc race since I snapped my On-One...

  • first xc race since I snapped my onone

I was just about to look in an anatomy text book to see where the onone was until I realised you probably meant On-One

  • Don't know what you're on about pal......

  • Would anyone be interested in my 2015 trek superfly 6 in large 19.5. Sram x9. Reba sl. 1x10. Thomson stem.

Would like around 600. Ono. Or a trade for a sscx like a nature boy or bombtrack arise.

  • very tempted, that is a 27.2 seatpost though isnt it?

  • It is Indeed.

  • What're people's opinions on Halo Twin Rails?

My commute will soon be increasing from 10 to 50 minutes, would rather not wear down my Ardents and use something a bit more fit for purpose.

  • I wouldn't bother, Mick. They're not amazingly comfortable, considering the size, and they don't cope brilliantly in the wet.

I'm using these now instead. They're much better.

    Maxxis Grifter 29x2.5

Schwalbe Big Bens are pretty good too. Like a slightly tougher big Apple.

  • Another -1 for the Twin Rails, didn't feel nice, punctured a bunch, gave them away in the end.

  • punctured a bunch

    Ah, not just me then.

  • gave them away in the end.

    To an enemy I trust?

  • I'm hoping they turned them into belts or something, I made it very clear how shit they were and the problems I had with them...

  • To an enemy I trust?

Lolz... I gave mine to Indra.

  • Meanwhile, on @IR 's ride

  • What 29er on cycle scheme would you guys get? Asking for a friend ( @nesbit ).

  • My Reba died in Afan this weekend. Seized. Afan without suspension is fucking hard. My forearms are angry.

I need a new fork. 80-100mm (for a Karate Monkey). Where should I be looking? Reba my best bet?

  • My Reba died in Afan this weekend. Seized.

How....is this possible? Sure it's terminal? Take it to bits and fix it.

(I was also at Afan, and I can imagine the pain from going rigid is something else)

I need a new fork. 80-100mm (for a Karate Monkey).

Pick up a used booted Lefty and the Project 3-2-1 adapter...and a new front wheel.

    Kidding.

  • It was used and already knackered when I got (for not much money). Mostly wanted to see how the KM would ride with a suspension fork. The answer is good, and I got about a year out of it, so I'm not too fussed about the money. And I'm not going to throw good money after bad!

  • Well, if you are going to bin it you might as well find out how it worked and why it doesn't now :)

  • Ha, that's a good idea! Messy, but would be interesting to see what's happened (if I can work it out).
