  • Don't see many of them for sure. I've never had the pleasure.

  • Jups! First thought it was a C35 but then I noticed the fork and the lack of a bolt for the seatpost. It was finished in a more modern art decor though. I'll try to snap some pics next week

  • Where did you see it?

  • Wanna go there and offer him 2000 pounds, @JusCos ? ;-)

  • Ha ha don't be silly................................

    Err yes!

  • :)

  • Haha, why don't I keep that for myself ;)

He knew what he had BTW. The guy has been a Colnago dealer for over 35 years

  • So this bad boy came home with me today. Seems like a lifetime waiting for one to crop up in Mapei colours in my size and budget.

Already started dismantling a few 7700 bits from my Mapei Master which gave me opportunity to make that a now full 74** series build.

Already have 7700/mavic wheels and 7410 seatpost for it so plenty more to find yet so it might be a while before its finished.

Great condition with only a couple of marks here and there.

  • nice find!

  • Plan Is to build up as close to this as I can as I'm sure mines a 2000 as well. Taffi's bike had an ITM big one by the looks of it in the same blue as frame which might be a tall order.

  • i went for itm gocia on the mk1 ,leaving the chorus gruppo on

  • Goccia with a nice Colnago Panto iirc.

Was tempted to go Campag as I've got a part '95 record group but honestly I think what it would've cost to complete it I could find the complete DA for. That'll have to sit in a box until an opportunity presents itself.

Showed my wife a picture of the matching Mapei jersey. "you'll look a real dick in that!" she said. She's not the slightest bit interested in bikes.............can you tell

  • would be good to see yours true to team form with 7700, i got full mapei gb kit, haven't had the front to ride out in full yet though

  • Nah I think I'd not be brave enough either. Few weeks should have made some progress with it so will keep you posted.
In the meantime if a nice 7700 group comes to your attention please do think of me.

  • will do, hard to find the shifters in good nick at right money though nowadays

  • Too true. Might have to settle for 'slightly worn'
    Thank you

  • wouldn't mind a set in good nick myself, pref with the shimano team decals ftw
i have 7800 on the c50 cx, og team spec, works fine but cosmetically worn, got decent shifters and will change crank when it gets less use, been in london today on it with the fatty tyres and it's a wheeze

  • There was a C40 Rabo for sale lately, here in Flanders. Why not collect every C40 team edition, @juscos? :)

  • i wouldn't say no to a casino decor mk 2

  • Let's not stop there. I'll do the c40s, you do the Corsa Extras and @saarf can do the rest.

  • Let's not stop there. I'll do the c40s, you do the Corsa Extras and @saarf has nearly done the rest.

    ftfy!

  • Many a true word said in jest.

  • SRAM force set up - loving the gear changing

  • Am a big fan of SRAM doubletap
