Go for it. I've done the nds on my V1 a few years ago as well. I'm no expert but I can give you a few tips if you're interested.

New favourite Brooklyn colour scheme. Personally I love the pink/peach base layer with the flakes of blue and white more and would do the whole thing in that...reminds me of the 500k Damien hirst livewrong Madone

Fitted drop, got the v brakes to work fine with road levers and found bar tape.
Your Gangsta is now my new favourite.

Thanks @Cheetah. The base layer is actually the green bits that were sprayed over with pink. Then came the peach splatter and finally the white and blue splatter over the whole frame after I unmasked it. If I started from scratch I would have left out the green and probably went for something yellowish, light blue or even gray, idk. That's the downside of not having absolutely any photoshop skills. I took a few pics of the process if you wanna see.

It's far from perfect but thanks. DIY all the way!

Ok now I get it. I misunderstood your

comment.
I thought that ''drop'' was slang for splattering aka dripping paint on the frame. That's why I offered some painting tips. I totally missed the obvious, doh!
Looking good btw. I liked your build with the Nitto drops as well but that probably wasn't as comfortable. -

It's a good combo, switched it over to my mtb and currently running these

Make sense, I'm just 100% comfortable with drop bar and brake hood no matter how hard I try to like the hybrid flat bar lark, still, I'm gonna try and get it to look more like my old raw V2 with big gumwall.

BTW, V-brakes totally work with road brake levers as long you got compressionless, a bit spongy but much better than with a normal Shimano housing where the levers hit the bar to get full power.

Yeah that would be cool, cheers

When I've ridden with brakes in the past, I've always used the same stuff that I use on cars - copper grease.

When applying power? Shouldn't squeal unless you're riding with Archetypes or similar.
That's it, I'm gonna put drop on mine.
