  • edit, undibs!

  • What length is the seatpost? thanks!

  • Dibs 40cm nitto pending postage conversation.

  • FYI, your prices on the noodles are a bit steep. hubjub have got them new for less. I might be interested in the 44cm if the price comes down a bit.

  • FYI, non of them is the B177 as the ones on sale here, which are more expensive ( I paid 55 for each), and to be fair they are in virtually new condition. That website (which has not http...) ads an additional 19£ of postage at the checkout, making more expensive again. Thank you for sharing, but I am sticking to the price or may just keep them for future projects if they do not sale.

Really? I can't find anything, anywhere that points out any difference between the two. To me it just seems like inconsistent naming. I'd be keen to know as I'm planning on switching to a set of these soon.

Nope, postage is £3.50 to anywhere in the UK, so £33.50 total. It goes to a secure site when you checkout.

    Fair enough.

  • For some reason I saw the 135 when I first clicked that link, but those do appear to be the same as the b177.

  • The differences are subtle, but they are different. I had checked it up when purchased them.

M177 is the traditional straight drop bar.
B177 (doodle) has a nice shape in my opinion as it the top bar goes a bit backwards and downwards at the same time

And the B135 is rather ugly, with and upwards shape.

Pics B177 in yellow tape and B135 on green tape.

It sounds like you were given some duff gen. The M177 is the Noodle and isn't a standard drop bar, it has the backward sweep and slight downward slope of the flats too. Look at the images here and at the original Rivendell page where it's called the Model (M?) 177.

The B135 is a traditional Randonneur bar, so it's a different kettle of fish.

  • ok, so are you buying or not?

  • Apologies, not at the moment, since I can't see a reason to pay the extra cash. If someone knows better and the B177 is a different bar that is better in some way I may be interested in the 44cm ones.

    GLWS.

  • Interested in north road bas

  • The Noodle is M177.

They're sometimes called B177, presumably because that's how Nitto name their other bars.

Noodles should be measured across the drops, not the ends. 46cm & 48cm bars are heat treated, so cost considerably more than narrower ones.

Hubjub are a well known and trustworthy shop. Prices are good, although the Cycleclinic are cheaper for the wider bars, if you email him.

  • Interested in north road bars in general or the ones here? ;)
