he's as out of form and fitness as Wilshire is, so not quite sure why he gets a pass, straight into the team...
If Welbeck hadn't fucked his other knee, I don't think Rooney would have smelt the first 11, now?!?!But it's not an england squad announcement if there isn't some talk of an experienced player/golden generation/world class??? being left out of it, being taken, and if he is taken does he play conundrum..
I'm not sure about playing Lallana in midfield if that's where you're positioning him, and also think Alli is currently better at playing further forward.
I'd probably go for...
Fraser Forster
Nathaniel Clyne, John Stones, Gary Cahill, Danny Rose
Danny Drinkwater, Eric Dier, Ross Barkley
Jamie Vardy, Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling
my only issue is whether Sterling is fit enough, and in good enough form, and whether you can play Kane and Vardy up front together. Probably don't have enough width or pace, but Dier and Drinkwater give you a solid base, Barkley gets you some creativity in there and Kane and Vardy should give you variation and goals... But I'd have no issue with swapping out Sterling for someone else...
