I've not had many dealings with one piece cranksets before but I've been helping my girlfriend's friend buy a bike and picked up a Kona AfricaBike which Kona say is "designed to survive the rigors of a rural beating" and I guess to keep it simple they spec'ed them with a one piece crankset.
Anyway the BB was a bit loose and once tightened was pretty rough so I took the lot apart. Basically each side of BB consists of a sealed bearing unit that sits in a little rubber-cover-sleeve-thing that then sits in a cup that's pressed into the frame. The bearings are shot but the rest looks alright, I thought the bearings would be fairly standard but can't find anything with the code on the bearing unit.
So yeah any help/suggestions on what to do and where to get some bearings would be greatly appreciated! The code on the bearings is 30458-2RS
