I was kinda kidding but I find it very difficult to keep up with them sometimes... That said, I have the same problem with Madrileños... 🙃
Catalan and Castillian cross over, just the crossover is different to the crossover between Castillian and Gallego and between Gallego and Portuguese. Catalan and Occitan cross over the same way as Gallego and Portuguese, by the same token. I can have a conversation with a Catalan easily enough, and I'm a sudaca in Catalan parlance. Although I guess living in Barna for a while helped.
