Usually compromise means the club sells the player for large profit and then spunks said large fee on shite replacement...

every team's done it, what did your lot spend the lampard/ferdinand/cole money on?
Sure there's some godawful buys in there..

To be honest of the seven or so we brought with the bale money, Eriksen, Chadli, Lamela, have all contributed to our current success so... (shrugs)

The Ferdinand money famously went on upgrades to a stand.

The Lumpolard cash went on covering debts and the YJC money was just frittered on Don Hutchison's pension plan and Nigel Quashie.
