Seeing bikes with their handlebars leaned up against cars always gives me childhood flashbacks.
Both ends of my BMX handlebars were sticking through the grip ends and I had to wheel the bike through the garage between my parents' two parked cars to come/go. I would always have to cup my hands over the end of the bars to avoid giving a car an added horizontal racing pin stripe scratch.
One time I was in a hurry and forgot...a good foot long scratch on my dad's minivan door. He about murdered me but of course I played it off...until he set the bike near the minivan and saw my bars were at the exact height of the scratch. haha...I was so dead.
haha the things you worry about when you're a kid, i haven't got to worry though, thats my car, its got dings and scratches all over it, so not too bothered. i like the raw look of unplugged bar ends, makes it extra ratty and dangerous looking but i dont ding, i bleed :'( so plugged it is.
