  • Are you wanting to turn into John Islip Street or onto CS5 North/West-bound on the north side of the A202? I can't see much advantage in turning onto CS5 there unless you want to turn right up Regency Street.

I think the light timings might have been changed there quite recently. If you want to go from Lupus Street to John Islip Street it used to be that once you'd crossed over into the CS5 South East bound you had to wait ages at the bike lights at the crossing of John Islip Street (where you were turning left), so that it was actually much better to just go in the left hand lane of the road to take the left turn. However, the last time I made that turn, that wait in CS5 seemed to have disappeared.

  • Sorry should have clarified. I'm coming from Oval northwest on the CS5 and when at that junction am looking to turn right across the whole thing to go up Drummond Gate and the up Lupus st.

I've noticed the same about traveling in the other direction off of Lupus st, onto southbound CS5. The wait in that direction does seem to have changed.
