BBQ is about indirect heat>That's interesting, because my understanding was that you had direct and indirect BBQing based on the type of food being cooked.
From reading though Which? they seemed to think that gas BBQs with the flavouriser bars / lava rocks burnt the fat indirectly and gave the same smoke effect that you get from a traditional BBQ.
Ill look into the Green Mountain Grill, but my initial thoughts are that I'm not really sure I want to spend $750-1,000 on an outdoor cooking device.
dont bother with a gas bbq, your oven and grill can do the same things
