Tawny.
The mottling hides a multitude of sins. -

I would have gone for a snowy, just in case it's one of those shits that takes at least 30 wipes to get clear. After about 15 you want some good visual confirmation you're not just trying to root out a ghost poo.

30 wipes...ghost poo??>>>>>>>>>>>>A&E

I'm British, I don't go to A&E for something that will, essentially, buff out.

"Buff out"

Lovely.
I think I may also be an empty room person.
-
• #3758
I'm definitely an empty room person.
Most people are utter cunts.

Genuine lol at "buffet bandit".

Genuine lol at "buffet bandit".
The bloke in question actually moved house to be closer to his favourite Chinese buffet.
It closed down six months later.
He broke them.

Hahaha, amazing.

Yeah, me too (the first bit definitely, the second bit maybe).
We should all get together for solidarity. Oh, hang on...

That's where the plan falls apart...

I spent a happy week apprenticing on a dry stone wall up Leeds way years ago. It was late autumn and the weather was harsh. The only other people on the course were asbo kids on a trip away and a family of american tourists. They were all fucking useless.
The job turns your hands to leather, trimming stones in the palm of your hand with a lump hammer is no joke.We did find old beer bottles and fag packets tucked in the infill of the wall we repaired so the line about carving messages on the stones made me smile

I can imagine it would turn hands into nerveless paws. Cold days would be brutal. Still, I fancy it. Some people have said they'd rather bcome woodsmen but that made me think of your stories of tree felling and it gave me a good laugh!

I spent a summer trying that out. Went slightly odd living in a van in the woods on my own pruning hundreds of saplings every day. Good times.

Nice one Luci and I'm in agreement about the general population being moronic cunts, present company excepted, of course.

I suggested a book called Reflections on the Lakes by John Wyatt for prospective woodsmen - a cracking read!

I've shared on big evil face space as it struck a chord with me (3 weeks left of office work, then the big wide world), I think you now have at least a couple more followers!

I'm sore tempted. It would be a proper misson and I haven't seen you for ages.
What time are you departing and from where?
Just one question.....short-eared, tawny or barn?
