65mm will still be tight but offer some protection. Main problem I had with similar guards on 2.15 big apples was the length. Had to diy some flaps to keep the feet dry. Put one on the back too as even the carradice was getting splattered from the rear. Much better now.
Yep figured I'd have to make some diy flaps. Think there was a link from the practical bikes thread to some audaxers using various plastic bottles etc so will give that a go. Main thing I learnt today was the tyres mean I can't use my bagman. That was disappointing.

Re: guards - I've found these which should fit http://www.spacycles.co.uk/products.php?plid=m2b62s80p387 - 65mm width will be tight but give enough clearance for daily use.
