I would of thought a logophile of your education would appreciate there is no such thing as a "stupid question"
I'm aware that many people have said that there are no stupid questions , but they said it before the internet boom and even a brief experience of web fora would soon have disabused them of that notion.

although my question was partly rhetorical, I did wonder given your forum name if you were indeed a member of the mdcc cycling club, and had raced back in the years that I raced in the southwest.
