  • I can confirm that 30c tyres Challenge strada bianca fit perfectly fine on the caad12. I do have pacenti SL23's though so that might've helped fit it, fitting it on those rims apparently was a bitch, as I've told by cyclelab, really happy it wasnt me. The sram red brake caliper issue that I thought might be a problem was a big deal at all. Tight fit but no rubbing unless it flexes which I doubt it will. Have to say it's really comfortable and made a lot of difference compared to my 25's. Maybe it's some sort of placebo effect but it made me feel better about the ride even more.

Decided to keep the GXP sram cranks and used an adapter instead to fit the bb30 frame. Thought getting a bb30 cranks might cause an issue for me in the future in case I end up getting a standard threaded frame in the future.

Bad photo is bad photo, took it after work. Still playing with the stem lengths and slammage, dont want to cut the steerer until im sure of what I exactly need.

  • I'm concerned at where you have your rails positioned on that Speedneedle - looks like they're clamped just on the bend?!

Miss my Speedneedle - did a summer in the Black Forest on it and it was very suprisingly comfy - just got a Komm Vor I need to test...

  • It just looked like it's clamped on the bend, but it's really not, it's just resting on the bottom clamp, the top clamp is far more in front of the rails. I agree, it's really comfortable, when I got it, I thought it's going to be some sort of ass hatchet, but I was surprised how comfortable it was!
