  • Hylix do one too, I think

  • lol Amey.

    Just get a Thomson.

  • Dont think there are any other options than Enve and Cannondale for carbon and layback 25.4 .. @negaatio has the dale one on his CAAD12 disc

  • yea I got the save 25.4 carbon model

there is also c2 carbon post

the save being one piece full carbon might be a tad bit lighter I'd guess

  • mine was something like 175grams iirc

  • Can we go back to GIF's please.... The thread has now gone back to shit chat about ridiculous 25.4mm Seatposts....

I hope you're happy with yourself @swedeee you have both ruined my day with your selfish actions and made it through the resultant furore

  • why that typeface for Project 76?

  • @6pt has better eye for stuff like this but I dont think its the same typeface ..

  • It's not but you're welcome to scroll through 1000 script fonts....

  • Caad12, 25.4 seatpost, what carbon seatpost options do we have?

Unless you need to change the saddle position, stick with it.

Best solution - cut off the excessive seatpost once you get your position sorted, I managed to get rid around 70g from my Thomson.

  • I can confirm that 30c tyres Challenge strada bianca fit perfectly fine on the caad12. I do have pacenti SL23's though so that might've helped fit it, fitting it on those rims apparently was a bitch, as I've told by cyclelab, really happy it wasnt me. The sram red brake caliper issue that I thought might be a problem was a big deal at all. Tight fit but no rubbing unless it flexes which I doubt it will. Have to say it's really comfortable and made a lot of difference compared to my 25's. Maybe it's some sort of placebo effect but it made me feel better about the ride even more.

Decided to keep the GXP sram cranks and used an adapter instead to fit the bb30 frame. Thought getting a bb30 cranks might cause an issue for me in the future in case I end up getting a standard threaded frame in the future.

Bad photo is bad photo, took it after work. Still playing with the stem lengths and slammage, dont want to cut the steerer until im sure of what I exactly need.

  • I fitted some of those tyres, utterly miserable experience. Took me about 2 hours. I'm amazed they didn't charge you an obscene amount for the labour

  • Huh, it's not as bad as people make it out to be.

  • Your levers need rotating up and bar rotating down.

  • They told me that they've never fitted a pair this difficult before. The rims did not help at all. They punctured it once apparently, had to take a break and did it again. They're my go-to LBS so they might've been nice thats why they didnt charge me any labour fees.

@edscoble huh, yeh, you're right, looking at it now. Will do that tonight.

  • @dammit – if you want it right, I'll get it right.

  • looks great!

  • Bought a Hylix carbon seatpost last week that was supposed to get delivered today, still havent received anything. Much disappoint.

  • They're my go-to LBS so they might've been nice thats why they didn't charge me any labour fees.

tyres are tyres, shouldn't need to charge extra just because they didn't like how difficult it is.

    Those are piss easy once you've try to change tyres on one of Tesco's Finest;

  • That is nice. Not a fan of gumwalls and the chainring but with that frame they really work. Now the question is which bottle cages.

  • If you could lend your font knowledge to the project that would be great- thanks.
